The Family Place Utah is seeking a part-time (5 hours per week) Children’s Group Facilitator to join our Therapy Department team and help us fulfill our mission, “Strengthening families and protecting children.” Competitive pay based on licensure and experience.

Duties Synopsis

Provide child care and learning activities for children and youth in a group setting while parents participate in therapy groups. Collaborate together with staff, interns, and volunteers to plan, prepare for, and conduct group activities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1. 6 months experience working with children.

2. 18 years old and able to pass an annual Background Criminal Investigation (BCI) and suitability determination.

3. Passion for The Family Place Utah mission and for children’s wellness.

4. Organized, punctual, professional, maintain confidentiality.

5. Patient, positive, strong work ethic, team player.

6. Understand child development, positive behavior management and signs/symptoms of child abuse and neglect

7. Ability to care for children with a variety of behaviors and needs.

8. Ability to maintain high energy, self-motivation, and attention to detail when under stress.

9. Bilingual Spanish-English preferred.

10. First Aid/CPR Certification and Food Handler’s Permit required if hired (training provided).

11. Own transportation.
