Brandy Mouritsen

Children's Services Manager

Brandy is a Family Educator in the Education Department. She graduated from USU in 2015 with a Bachelors of Science in Social Work. Brandy served her practicum at The Family Place Utah and wanted to continue the mission of strengthening families and protecting children. She has many roles: Trauma Home Visitor, Stepfamily Facilitator, Kids Empowered Facilitator, and Summer Camp Supervisor. Kids Empowered is one of the most rewarding parts of her job. Teaching children about abuse (on their level) and empowering them to say NO and tell a trusted adult helps her to continue to fulfill the mission of The Family Place Utah. Brandy is a mom of 4 girls and loves watching reality TV show competitions. Her greatest accomplishment is hiking Half Dome. A favorite quote of hers is "Everyone has a happy ending, if you're not happy it's not your ending."
