Therapy Groups and Workshops
We offer weekly groups and one-time workshops that cover a diverse range of topics and needs. All of our therapy groups and workshops are open to the community., and we warmly invite you to explore this valuable opportunity. We encourage you to register for one or more of our currently available sessions!
Family Groups
Our primary family therapy group is Horses Helping Humans Heal for parents and children ages 8 and up.
Parenting Groups
Includes English and Spanish ADAPT Parenting groups.
Adult Groups
This category includes group therapy for both women and men in English and Spanish.
Teen Groups
These groups include Teen Therapy Group and Teen Horse Group
Kid Groups
These Groups include Kids Therapy Group and Kids Horse Group.
Group Costs
We bill insurance and offer a self-pay option. We also use a sliding fee scale for eligible individuals/families.

Family Groups
Family Horse Group:
The Horses Helping Humans Heal family group is designed for families who have experienced trauma or other challenges. This program provides a supportive environment where families can engage with horses to enhance emotional regulation, build trust and teamwork, and improve communication skills. Age 8+ for any children participating. Offered in English.

Parenting Groups
ADAPT Parenting Group:
This therapy group is intended to be a more intensive or in-depth experience than our parenting classes in the education department. It is a 14-week program focused on developing essential parenting skills, including problem-solving, emotional regulation, positive engagement with children, and fostering enjoyable family experiences. The program is offered at no cost and includes complimentary childcare services for ages 0-11. Offered in English and Spanish

Adult Groups
Women’s Therapy Group:
This group provides a safe environment for survivors of abuse or victimization to gain support and empowerment for the healing process and life beyond trauma. Age 18+. Offered in English and Spanish.
Men’s Therapy Group:
This group addresses topics such as the stigma of mental health, common struggles for men, emotion, men’s vs women’s needs, myths and misconceptions of trauma, and more. Age 18+. Offered in English and Spanish.
Trauma Workshops:
Covers topics such as trauma, mindfulness, mind-body bridging, distress-tolerance skills, emotional regulation skills, self-compassion, and assertiveness.

Teen Groups
Teen Horse Group:
This group offers a unique opportunity for adolescents to engage with horses in a therapeutic environment (participants will not ride the horses). Participants will explore personal development through hands-on activities that promote self-awareness, emotional regulation, and teamwork. This safe and supportive space encourages teens to build confidence, enhance communications skills, and foster meaningful connections with both horses and peers. Ages 13-17. Offered in English.
Teen Anxiety Group:
This group provides a safe and welcoming environment for adolescents to explore and manage anxiety. Through group discussions, coping strategies, and interactive activities, participants will learn techniques to reduce stress and build resilience. Ages 13-17. Offered in English.

Kids Groups
Kids Horse Group:
This group offers a fun and engaging environment for children to interact with horses (participants will not ride the horses). Through hands-on activities and experiential learning, participants will develop important life skills such as empathy, confidence, and teamwork. Ages 10-12. Offered in English.
Kids Anxiety Group:
This group is designed to help children understand and manage anxiety through a focus on emotions. In this supportive environment, participants will learn to identify and express their feelings while developing coping strategies to navigate anxiety. Through engaging activities, discussions, and creative expression, children will build emotional intelligence and resilience. Groups for ages 5-7 and 8-12. Offered in English and Spanish.

Group Costs:
Therapy service rates can vary based on factors such as insurance plans, sliding scale fees, and limited grant funding. An intake assessment prior to group is required for therapy groups. The standard fee is typically $200, but many insurances cover at least part of that cost, and we have a sliding fee scale and grants that you may be eligible for that can reduce or waive costs depending on your situation. If you are paying full price out-of-pocket, the intake assessment is $150.
Group therapy sessions after the initial intake assessment are usually $40 per session, but insurance, sliding fee scale, or grants may lower or waive that cost for you depending on your situation. If you are paying full price out-of-pocket, group sessions are $30 per session.
