The Family Place Utah is proud to announce that Krista Useche, Director of the Kid’s Place and Starfish Children’s Center, was the recipient of the Utah Nonprofit Association’s Emerging Nonprofit Leader award. The award was presented on September 22nd during the virtual UNA Annual Conference.

Useche was recognized for her dedicated service protecting children by providing a safe environment at the Kid’s Place where children can come when their parents or caregivers are facing an emergency, are in need of a respite break, or have nowhere else to turn.

Utah Nonprofit Association 2020 Emerging Nonprofit Leader award is to recognize the joy, inspiration, healing, and help people bring to our communities. The tradition, started in 2017, honors the people behind the wonderful work nonprofits accomplish. Video was created by UNA and presented at their annual nonprofit conference in 2020.
