Child Abuse Prevention Month

The month of April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. We have various events and classes planned to help raise awareness for this important month, and to prevent further instances of child abuse.

 

This month is a time to acknowledge to importance of healthy and happy families. As families and individuals working together as a community we can prevent neglect and child abuse. On April 13th is the Steppin’ Up for Children event at the Cache County Courthouse from 12-12:30pm. During this event there will be numerous speakers and visitors from the county. There will be a pair of shoes placed on the stops of the courthouse in remembrance of each documented case of child abuse in Cache County. This event will be a truly eye opening and powerful event and encourage all who are able to attend.

 

The next day, April 14th at Four Seasons (140 E 2200 N, North Logan, UT) is the Making a Difference For Our Children seminar.  This will be a free seminar for parents and professionals. There will be free lunch and admission, simply visit our events page to register!

 

Lastly, on April 22nd is the Blue Ribbon Benefit Dinner & Auction. That night at 6:15pm there will be a silent auction and social, with a plated dinner and live auction beginning at 7pm. It is semi-formal attire and will be held at the Riverwoods Conference Center (615 Riverwoods Parkway, Logan, UT).
