This is a FREE virtual five hour training for any adult to learn how to make a difference for youth experiencing a mental health related crisis or challenge. Just as you can help someone having a heart attack, this course will help you to assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. Topics include anxiety, depression, psychosis, and addictions specific for those younger than 18. The course includes two hours of self-paced online pre-work that each participant is to complete before the scheduled training on the 10th. The course will be held in an Online Zoom Room, the Zoom ID will be given to those registered. Call 435.752.8880 for more information.

- Warning signs for mental health and addiction
- Strategies to help an individual experiencing both crisis and non-crisis situations

This course is valued at $170 per participant, however, The Family Place Utah has received a grant that allows us to offer it FREE of charge.
